Ambassador @rosanroeslani hosted a Diplomatic Reception for the launch of the Washington Educational and Cultural Attaché Association @wecaa.official at the Indonesian Embassy (25/05).
Ethan Rosenzweig @erosenz, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Academic Programs, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, U.S. Department of State @statedept and Kimberly Bassett @kbassettdc, District of Columbia Secretary of State delivered their speeches at the event.
More than a hundred attendees, including Ambassadors, Charge d’affaires, Deputy Chief of Missions, Attaches, and Counselors from embassies in Washington, D.C.; and related partners from universities, industries, associations in education, arts and culture, research centers, media and think tanks; congratulated Amb. @rosanroeslani where the first president of WECAA is the Educational and Cultural Attaché of Indonesian Embassy @popyrufaidah.
The Boards of WECAA, Jan Du Plain @janduplain (CEO and President of Du Plain Global Enterprises, Inc.) and Victor Shiblie @washdiplomat (President and Publisher Washington Diplomat) and the founding president @popyrufaidah were officially announced at the event.
Amb. @rosanroeslani hopes that the newly inaugurated leadership of the Association including the founder @popyrufaidah and the two-board of the association @janduplain and Victor Shiblie @washdiplomat, will continue to work closely with the Indonesian Embassy and other embassies in Washington, DC., in the efforts to promote mutual understanding and friendship within the diplomatic community.
